In 2017, the Sheraton International Group financed the Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. This 4-star hotel is situated in the Gulshan district, which is known for both its diplomatic and commercial activities. As a result, the hotel is conveniently located for business travelers and is also near various shopping centers, restaurants and entertainment options. The hotel has many amenities, such as a fitness center, a shared lounge, a sun terrace with a swimming pool and a breakfast buffet. The accommodation provides 24-hour front desk service, airport transportation and room service. Additionally, the hotel has a restaurant that serves seafood, steaks and Asian-inspired dishes, with vegetarian and halal options available upon request. The hotel also features two restaurants and a bar. The Eatery is an all-day dining restaurant that offers international cuisine, while Wrapped serves a selection of wraps, sandwiches and salads. The Best Brews bar serves a variety of drinks, including beer and cocktails. Popular landmarks located near the Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, an IHG Hotel, include the Consulate of Singapore, Primeasia University and Southeast University. The nearest airport is Dhaka Shah Ajalal International Airport, which is located 5km away from the hotel.
Firstly, the available space for the kitchen was limited, which made it difficult to accommodate all the required equipment and ensure a smooth workflow. Additionally, the kitchen needed to accommodate a variety of cuisine types, including seafood, steak and Asian-style dishes, as well as provide vegetarian and halal food options on request. This required careful consideration of the kitchen's layout and equipment selection to ensure efficient cooking and preparation of all menu items.
To address these challenges, the kitchen design team utilized a combination of innovative space-saving solutions and state-of-the-art kitchen equipment. For example, the use of multi-functional commercial equipment help us to maximize the available space, while the installation of separate cooking stations for seafood, steak and Asian-style dishes helped to streamline the kitchen workflow.
After the kitchen construction was completed, the hotel provided additional services such as regular maintenance and repair of the kitchen equipment to ensure their efficient operation. Furthermore, the hotel provided training to their kitchen staff on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment.
Project Design Scheme
By carefully considering the layout of the space and the needs of the chefs and kitchen staff, they were able to design a kitchen that utilizes every inch of available space while still providing ample room for movement and workflow.
The team also incorporated advanced kitchen equipment, such as high-efficiency ovens and ranges, sous vide machines and advanced refrigeration systems, to ensure that the kitchen can produce high-quality food quickly and efficiently. The combination of these innovative solutions and advanced equipment allows the kitchen to operate at peak performance, even during the busiest times.
To sum up, the hotel's kitchen design and construction project encountered difficulties due to space limitations and the need to accommodate a variety of cuisine types. Despite these challenges,INEO project team was able to overcome these challenges by implementing innovative kitchen design solutions and utilizing modern commercial kitchen equipment. As a result, we created an efficient and adaptable the hotel kitchen project that can cater to the diverse needs of the hotel's guests.
